The Texas State Guard Medical Brigade (MRC) is an element of the Texas Military Forces under the command of the Texas Adjutant General. At the discretion of the Governor of Texas, the Medical Brigade deploys within the borders of Texas to augment local civilian authorities when medical-related emergencies and disasters occur. Upon authorization by command, personnel that are also known as Texas Medical Rangers assist local community events by augmenting medical response personnel for site safety/security activities.

Our Mission

The goal of the Texas Medical Rangers is to respond to Texas public health emergencies, including biological terrorism and natural epidemics. Its membership consists of trained, licensed and indemnified health professionals and medical support volunteers who train and prepare to respond at the request and under the direction of public health authorities, providing surge and specialized emergency skills. Texas Medical Rangers serve in team response units and as individual cadre who assist and train other volunteers, augmenting
the emergency response efforts of public health authorities.

Company Profile

The Corpus Christi Company is a subordinate unit of the Alamo Medical Response Group. Delmar College Department of Public Safety Education has graciously allowed the unit to meet and drill in their facility. This allows the unit to develop relationships with area public safety agencies before disaster strikes.
